About

What Was Creative Guidelines?
1970 - 2000

Creative Guidelines was a small not for profit organization in Phoenix, Arizona, run from Don's home, which he transformed into a school. The living room became a bookstore, bedrooms turned into classrooms, and the garage served as a meeting space. Don developed a multidimensional curriculum for personal and spiritual growth, with self-hypnosis as the core technique to create lasting change by directly influencing the subconscious mind. He believed that by offering loving, transformative messages to the subconscious, individuals could initiate positive, enduring change. Classes, ranging from 4 to 12 weeks, began with foundational courses in self-hypnosis, confidence, and awareness. Evening workshops lasted about 90 minutes, with small groups of 4-8 people. Sessions started with meditation, followed by course material, and ended with guided hypnosis. Students also completed readings and meditations as part of their 'growth work.'

How Did I Find My Way To Creative Guidelines? - Michael Joy

In 1985, during a high school co-op class, I mentioned reading a book on astral projection. A classmate told me about a metaphysical group his mom was involved with, so I attended an introductory session with my mom. While she found it too different from her Christian beliefs, I liked the approach. Even though I was only 16 and one of the youngest at the center, I did not feel intimidated or uncomfortable. I liked that Don was not pretending to be a psychic or holder of secrets. Rather, he presented concrete techniques to impact and change old habits. After joining a few workshops, I began attending Don's Wednesday night open sessions, where he channeled various entities, sharing positive messages about love, history, Earth's future, and even life on other planets. Though Don has since passed (he called it “graduating”), I still feel connected to him in 2024 through my thoughts and dreams. My time at Creative Guidelines profoundly shaped my core values and continues to influence my life today.

What Was A Wednesday Night Channeling (Metatations) Session Like?

The sessions were informal, held in Don's converted garage with a small group seated in a circle. There was a donation basket, but attendance was free. Don would start by reading a short, handwritten message he received earlier that day, which set the tone for the evening's talk. Afterward, he would relax, say a prayer, and ask us to contribute our energy to help clear the channel for communication with higher-vibration entities. Don explained that without our vibratory assistance, the messages from these high-energy beings could be unclear, like trying to download a movie on dial-up. He likened it to a blending of energies, with the entities lowering their speed and us raising ours through sending love. Once synchronized, Don would channel the first entity, Gaidon, who acted as a gatekeeper to help harmonize the connection. After Gaidon’s greeting, the main message, which typically lasted around 40 minutes, would follow. Though we were invited to ask questions, we often found that any questions we had were answered internally during the session, as if we were each connecting to the higher vibration on our own. Eventually, we agreed to voice some questions on tape so that answers could be recorded for others to hear later. Don and the entities often mentioned that while our physical group was small, many beings from other planes were listening in. The group’s light attracted a vast audience from beyond the physical realm. Don would remind us that even though our class seemed small, the other side's "balconies" were full, and that we were privileged to be part of something so rare, even among those on the other planes.

Don Weldon's metaphysical center (Creative Guidelines) offered a variety of workshops and classes from the early 80's through the mid 90's. It was during this time that his Wednesday Night Channeling (Metatations) messages were recorded.

Original Mission Statement
1983 - 2000

The objective of Creative Guidelines is loving service. It is to serve those who are open and ready to make the changes within themselves that the classes and counseling bring about. In order to serve these people they must first become aware of Creative Guidelines and what we have to offer. Everything comes from above, down. In Spirit we are at one with everyone. Through our desire to serve and help others have a better life we bring into action the entity called the Spirit of Loving Service who reaches out to those in need. Once the physical contact is made through advertising they recognize the Truth and respond. As we put the plans for Creative Guidelines into the Law we put feeling, emotions and conviction into the inner image of the completed plans that we hold in our minds. On the mental realms we live these plans with feeling, emotion and conviction thus bending time to the now in mind and in Spirit. The time we decide for this to happen on the physical realm has to then take form.
